Photographs of the Month

PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE MONTH & PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE YEAR

Every month there is a set project to photograph, plus an open category (PlusONE). The projects are completely open to interpretation by each member so the photographs can be very varied and interesting. At the monthly meetings members then review the project photographs so that everyone can learn different skills from each other. There are no competitions involved but each month members and guests vote for the photograph, from each project, which they think best represents the project subject or the photographs they like the most.

At the end of the year a guest reviewer, or reviewers, critiques a large selection of project entries, including 'Photographs of the Month' and offers advice as to possible improvements including composition, cropping, framing, retouching etc.
